Wellness Essentials in the Barn

The New Year often brings sentiments of wanting to “get healthier,” hit the gym, or go on a diet. We aren’t into that here. We believe in eating food you love and treating your body in a way that feels good for you, no diet needed. But we also love to give our body delicious things that are packed full of nutrients. To kick off the New Year, we’re sharing some of our favorite wellness essentials that can be found every day in the barn.

ginger shots

Ginger is a true superfood- it reduces inflammation, boosts immunity, and aids digestion. It’s also a natural pick-me-up! These tiny firecrackers by The Ginger People are available in our Grab & Go section. They are wellness shots made with ginger and turmeric juice that you take in one go! These are so beneficial to add into your routine or to take after you’ve eaten something that upsets your stomach. We also highly recommend if you want to prevent getting sick!

Kombucha is SO good for you- and SO tasty! Our current favorite brand is KrafTea Kombucha, a Worcester-based business that specializes in delicious kombucha. They sweeten organic tea that they then leave to ferment and develop all those gorgeous probiotics that are so good for your digestive health. Probiotics aid healthy bacteria growth in your gut- and gut health has been said to be extremely important for overall health. And with flavors like Blueberry Lemon and Apricot Mango, why not give it a try?

Herbal Tea

Herbal teas are not only a soothing drink to make, but they each have their own distinct benefits. We have a large selection of herbal teas from Mem Tea (based in Cambridge), and there’s something for everyone. Under the weather? Try ginger lemon. Need help with sleep? Lemon chamomile. Want a pick-me-up with no caffeine? Crimson berry! We promise you’ll find something you like.

Chicken & Dumplin’ Soup

Chicken soup is medicinal, don’t ya think? Ours is packed with nutrients and flavorful antibiotic-free chicken, bone broth, and delicious veggies (plus decadent dumplin’ noodles). We recommend stocking UP on this baby for the winter months- it tastes homemade and will warm you up from the inside out, but the best part is you don’t have to cook anything.
